Lebachia is a genus of extinct coniferous plants known from fossils from the Upper Carboniferous and Lower Permian eras (from approximately 318 million to 271 million years ago). Lebachia and related genera belong to the family Lebachiaceae, order Coniferales (sometimes family Voltziaceae, order Voltziales), appear to be among the immediate ancestors of all extant conifers, except the yews.Â
