Chiton is molusco poliplacophora, that is to say, carrying of many plates, its shell is divided in eight overlapped plates transversas and, all are similar, except for the first and last calls cephalic and anal.They are bilaterally symmetrical, with an ovoid body, considerably flattened dorsoventralmente.The mantle is very strong, and the foot is wide and flat to facilitate the fixation to the hard substratum.
