Palaeoscolex is a Nematomorph, it presents a filamentous aspect and is extremely long, although the diameter is not usually greater than 1 mm. Adults live freely, but young individuals are all parasites.

SE of Kunming. South China, is equaled only by the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale fauna (British Columbia) in its excellent state preservation.
