The rebaquisaurids (Rebbachisauridae) is a family of sauropod dinosaurs who lived from the Lower Cretaceous to the Upper Cretaceous (approximately 130 and 86 million years ago).
Sauropods were dinosaurs of enormous proportions that exhibited a characteristic long neck, a small head, thick legs (quadrupeds) and a robust tail. The necks of sauropods could have ten or more cervical vertebrae. lThe simple teeth of sauropods were spatulate or pencil-shaped, which only served to tear off leaves and swallowed food without chewing. Because of this, sauropods ingested stones called gastroliths that facilitated digestion processes by soaking the vegetables in the gizzard. The birds modern (not having teeth) and crocodiles They use the same system. Sauropods were animals with gregarious habits., being corroborated by fossil footprints and large nesting areas discovered in Argentina and India.Â
