Dental plate of a Dipnoo or lungfish. In the fish´s mouth, this piece was oriented so that the outgrowths were facing owards.
The Dipnoos constitute a group of freshwater bony fishes and by having the possibility of breathing the oxygen from the air, they can survive in conditions of temporary desiccation of their environment.
