Praeradiolites was rudistid , it is a bivalve but formed from two different shells as a result of its fixation in shallow water . The valve fixed to the substrate is shaped elongated conical thickens and resisting the waves and distancing the bottom opening of the shell. The free leaflet is generally smaller and functions as a lid .
