Woodworthia like Araucarioxylon were conifers, but unlike the smooth surfaces of the trunks of trees Araucarioxylon, had small holes about an inch deep holes that were left by small branches that were never fully developed. As Araucarioxylon not have annual growth rings and leaves and reproductive structures are unknown. Woodworthia was half Araucarioxylon height and lateral branches irregularly distributed along the entire trunk.
